Position Summary

Elevate your passion for collegiate sports into a rewarding fundraising career at Doane University as our Athletics Development Officer. In this role, you will support the Advancement and Athletics offices in achieving their annual fundraising goals across all giving levels. This position provides hands‑on experience in athletics donor relations, annual giving, event coordination, corporate sponsorships, and major gift support. If you are a motivated self‑starter with a passion for collegiate athletics, this is your chance to build a career in advancement and fundraising.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for collegiate athletics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or experience in fundraising, development, sales, or athletics administration.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Experience with event planning or volunteer coordination.

Physical/Environmental/Working Conditions

  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and home athletic events as required.
  • Travel required.
  • Physical Requirements: Sedentary work.
  • Outdoor exposure: Exposed to both indoor and outdoor elements.
