Description

Provides mental health services to the campus community, including one or more of the following services: individual, couples and group counseling and therapy; crisis intervention; consultation and outreach services.

• 1. Provides individual, couples and group counseling to students.
• 2. Participates in the development and delivery of support, awareness, outreach and consultation services to the campus community.
• 3. Provides initial assessment and on-call services to clients with personal concerns and maintains appropriate case documentation, supervision and evaluation records.
• 4. Performs clinical assessments and refers individuals to other resources as needed.
• 5. Develops and conducts outreach seminars, workshops, and programs.
• 6. May collaborate with other campus departments to create and implement programs for the campus community.
• 7. Assists in the supervision and training of interns, practicum students, and/or graduate students in counseling.
• 8. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MQ:

Requires application of advanced principles, techniques and theory in a professional discipline or a thorough general business management knowledge. Knowledge of this level is typically obtained through a directly job-related Master’s degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience. Requires technical certification or licensing directly related to the job, as specified on a job description addendum.
