Athletic Equipment And Facilities Technician AssociateThe Assistant Athletic Equipment Manager supports the Athletic Equipment Manager in the organization, maintenance, and distribution of athletic equipment and uniforms for all sports programs. This role ensures athletes have safe, clean, and properly functioning equipment, assists with field preparation, minor maintenance, laundry, and inventory tracking using software like Qtrak, and supports smooth operations for practices, games, and special events.Key responsibilities include:Equipment & Uniform Management: Issue, collect, and track athletic uniforms, gear, and protective equipment. Inspect all equipment for safety, wear, and damage; repair or report as needed. Clean, repair, and maintain equipment to ensure proper function and hygiene.

Organize and store equipment and uniforms neatly and safely. Manage equipment inventory, including entering and updating data in Qtrak or similar systems.Laundry & Maintenance Support: Launder uniforms, towels, practice gear, and other athletic textiles; ensure timely distribution. Perform minor repairs on equipment, uniforms, or gear as needed. Support facility maintenanceField & Event Support: Assist with field lining, goal post setup, and preparation of athletic fields for practices, games, and events.

Set up and break down equipment for sporting events, tournaments, and school activities. Support snow removal and general upkeep of outdoor athletic areas when required.Administrative & Technical Duties: Maintain detailed records of equipment issued, returned, repaired, or replaced. Assist with inventory management and ensure accurate tracking of all items using Qtrak or similar software. Collaborate with coaching staff to ensure equipment and field needs are met for practices and events.

Prepare reports on inventory levels, repairs, and equipment usage as requested by the Athletic Equipment Manager. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the administration.Skills and qualifications include:High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in athletic programs, facilities, or equipment management preferred.Knowledge of athletic equipment, uniforms, and sports safety standards.Ability to operate laundry equipment and perform minor repairs.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and inventory software (e.g., Qtrak).Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment safely.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Working conditions include:Work performed in locker rooms, gyms, athletic fields, storage areas, and offices.Combination of indoor and outdoor duties, including exposure to weather conditions.Frequent physical activity including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.Flexible hours may be required, including evenings, weekends, and event days.
