This role is in Textron System's Weapon Systems business area.About This RoleWe believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for developing Automated Test Equipment (ATE) in a DoD / Aerospace Line of Business. Applicant should have a strong background in Electrical Engineering, and possess a demonstrated ability developing C# test code for Special Test Equipment (ATE / STE). Test executives and test sequences, as well as commercial instrumentation interfaces, data acquisition and control, and communication protocols will be the prime applications to be designed and automated into our ATE systems. High awareness and competency in the cohesion required between the multi-disciplinary functions (electrical / mechanical / software) required of a formal ATE team are required. Designing with Modularity and Commonality are top requirements of the position. Additionally, the ability to generate Validation sequences, Calibration sequences, Test Reports, estimates, design review materials, and presentation packages, is critical.ResponsibilitiesDerive, flow, and trace Test Requirements from Sources to Test Code and Test ReportDesign and implement automation software to satisfy Test RequirementsInterface with product development teams to determine appropriate test strategy and coverage for functional requirementsDevelop modular, reusable test automation software in C# and GUI tools for manufacturing and engineering design verification.Produce technical presentation packages for Design ReviewsCollaborate with ATE Hardware developers to ensure hardware / software cohesion throughout the Integration and Debug phasesProduce Test Procedures and Process Documents to support ATE deploymentIntegrate ATE with Units Under TestRelease software into Configuration ManagementSupport Contract Manufacturers with questions and IntegrationInterface with Production teams to satisfy Manufacturing requirementsQualificationsB.S. in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years' experience developing instrument driven test softwareSolid programming knowledge in C#Strong understanding of general ATE design principles including various communication protocols (Serial, Ethernet, PXI, USB, and IEEE-488, etc.)Experience in problem isolation with demonstrable troubleshooting skillsRelevant experience with Software Configuration Management tools, defect tracking tools, and Peer Review processesAbility to effectively communicate and engage all levels of the organization verbally and in writingExperience as an IPT Lead or CAM, with EVMS exposure is a plusMust have strong written and verbal communications skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environmentAn existing U.S. Secret Security Clearance is desired. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
