UConn Health is seeking a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor (In Residence) to join the Division of Urology within the Department of Surgery. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic academic medical center committed to excellence in clinical care, education, and research.Position Overview:The faculty member will provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, consultation, and management of adult patients with a broad range of genitourinary conditions across office-based, ambulatory, and inpatient hospital settings. The primary clinical emphasis will be in General Urology. This role offers opportunities to engage in clinical care, medical education, and research within an academic health system committed to improving the health of Connecticut residents.ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality clinical care in general urologyEngage in resident and medical student education through clinical supervision and formal teachingPrecept trainees in inpatient, outpatient, and operative settingsContribute to the academic mission of UConn Health through scholarly activity, which may include clinical research, outcomes research, or quality improvement initiativesMinimum Requirements:M.D. or D.O. degree (or foreign equivalent) Completion of an ACGME-accredited Urology residency program or board eligible equivalent Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology Eligibility for and ability to obtain a Connecticut medical license Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment Preferred Requirements:Prior clinical experience in general urology (post-training or fellowship exposure) Interest or experience in teaching medical students and residents Demonstrated involvement in research, quality improvement, or scholarly activity Interest in contributing to academic program development within an academic health center Alignment with UConn Health's mission of integrating clinical care, education, and research to improve population health Academic EnvironmentUConn Health offers a robust academic environment with strong institutional support for teaching, clinical innovation, and research collaboration.
