The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic academic medical center committed to excellence in clinical care, education, and research.Position OverviewThe faculty member will provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, consultation, and management of adult patients with a broad range of genitourinary conditions across office-based, ambulatory, and inpatient hospital settings. The primary clinical emphasis will be in Urologic Oncology, with expected expertise in the management of complex genitourinary malignancies.The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced proficiency in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic approaches, for both standard and complex oncologic urologic procedures.ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality clinical care in urologic oncologyPerform minimally invasive and robotic surgical procedures for genitourinary malignanciesParticipate in multidisciplinary cancer care and tumor board discussionsEngage in resident and medical student education through clinical supervision and formal teachingPrecept trainees in inpatient, outpatient, and operative settingsContribute to the academic mission of UConn Health through scholarly activity, which may include clinical research, outcomes research, or quality improvement initiativesMinimum QualificationsM.D. or D.O. degree (or foreign equivalent)Completion of an ACGME-accredited Urology residency program or board eligible equivalentFellowship training in Urologic Oncology or equivalent advanced experienceBoard certified or board eligible in UrologyEligibility for licensure in the State of ConnecticutCommitment to patient-centered care and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated expertise in minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniquesExperience in focal therapy treatments for urologic cancersEvidence of or strong interest in academic productivity, research engagement, and/or clinical trialsCommitment to teaching and mentorship of medical students and residentsAlignment with UConn Health's mission of integrating clinical care, education, and research to improve population health Academic EnvironmentUConn Health offers a robust academic environment with strong institutional support for teaching, clinical innovation, and research collaboration.
