Assistant Nurse Operations ManagerOrlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute offers comprehensive CARF-accredited inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs for adults, adolescents and children, with specialty programs in stroke, spinal cord and brain injury rehabilitation. A dedicated 54-bed rehabilitation hospital provides post-acute care for patients requiring medical and intensive rehabilitative therapies covering a full range of orthopedic and neurological conditions. The facility has all-private rooms, three therapy gyms outfitted with the latest technology, a simulated apartment, and an expansive outdoor space for additional therapeutic activity.

Outpatient centers feature interdisciplinary teams working together to help each patient meet their individual rehabilitation goals and achieve the highest possible level of independence.A Day in YOUR Life as a Nursing AssistantThe Assistant Nurse Operations Manager (ANOM) is responsible for the management of their designated unit/department, including nursing practice and administrative oversight of the area. In conjunction with the Unit/Department Nursing Operations Manager, the ANOM provides guidance and direction on all aspects of unit operations including customer experience, budgetary performance, human resources activities, shared leadership, and quality outcomes.Location: Orlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute 1300 Hempel Ave, Ocoee, FLSchedule: Full-time (mid-shift)ResponsibilitiesLeadershipExpresses ideas clearly and effectively in verbal and written communication to team members and groups.Advocates on behalf of the nursing staff to represent the concerns of patients, families, and staff.Implements strategies that promote education, health, and safety.Fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion.Demonstrates collaborative and collegial relationship skills, engages staff in decision-making, and exhibits effective conflict resolution skills.Role models professional behaviors and serves as a mentor to coach team members and colleagues.Promote a safe working environment; support and/or coordinate any follow-up related to WPV occurrences.Human Resource ManagementManages various human resources functions including recruitment/selection process, retention, supervision, coaching and productivity.Assists with the clinical evaluation of team members, completes written clinical performance evaluations, and conducts timely team member assessments. Ensures compliance with certifications, licenses, and required education for team members.Influences team members to enhance their abilities and promote professional development.Appropriate Clinical Practice KnowledgePerformance supports the Professional Practice Model values – clinical excellence and caring practice.Superior clinical and critical thinking skills for assigned unit/department.Performance/Quality ImprovementMonitors compliance and outcomes to identify issues and trends and leads the team on process/quality improvement initiatives.Ensures practice changes are evidence-based, promote high-quality nursing practice, and are consistent with research, organization, and national standards.Financial ManagementManages time and resources efficiently to maximize unit/department productivity.Promotes cost effective management of equipment and supplies.Personal and Professional AccountabilityParticipates in activities that promote personal and professional growth and development.Maintains active membership in a profession.Required QualificationsEducation/TrainingBachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) required if no Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN).Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with Graduate degree in Business or health-related field preferred.Licensure/CertificationCurrent licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.May require one or more of the following certifications based on the assigned patient population:Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)ExperienceTwo (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute setting.Benefits Beyond the ExpectedOrlando Health is committed to providing you with benefits that go beyond the expected, with career-growing FREE education programs and well-being services to support you and your family through every stage of life.
