Asst/Assoc Professor - Pediatric Hospitalist

Position Overview

Assistant/Associate Professor - Pediatric Hospitalist, Department of Pediatrics, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Amarillo

Responsibilities

• Examines patients, performs comprehensive physical examinations, compiles medical data.
• Orders and interprets labs, diagnostic tests such as X‑ray, ECG, laboratory tests.
• Prescribes medication, manages health/illness status of patients and families over time.
• Instructs and counsels patients and family members regarding compliance with therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
• Provides supervision, mentoring, and teaching to residents and students.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or Foreign Equivalent degree.
• Completion of USMLE Step 3 or in process of completing an ACGME‑accredited Pediatric Residency.
• Board certified, board eligible, or in process of becoming board eligible in General Pediatrics, expected to maintain certification.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records.

Other Information

Travel required: up to 25%.

Pay grade: Salary commensurate with related education, experience, and/or skills. Monthly pay basis. Pay Grade Minimum and Maximum consistent with role.
