Assistant Legal Counsel
We are seeking an assistant legal counsel with experience in dispute resolution and/or arbitration for start in fall 2026.
Westerberg & Partners is a law firm with top-rated lawyers in dispute resolution and intellectual property law. Within dispute resolution, our focus is on Swedish and international arbitration and court proceedings that have a connection to arbitration. Our processes cover a broad spectrum of material law areas including insurance law and involve commercial cases as well as cases between investors and foreign states. Some cases have a public international law connection.
We have around thirty employees and our office is located in central Stockholm. We care about our good working environment and enjoy each other's company. At our niche firm, you will quickly get into exciting assignments and work in small teams to solve stimulating challenges together with some of Sweden's top lawyers. At the same time, you will be offered support and continuous feedback on your work. Your mentor will make sure you get integrated in a good way.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who has graduated from a Swedish legal program with documented good results. We would like to see that you have a specialization in international arbitration, international law, insurance law, or public international law from a Swedish or foreign university. You should have completed legal clerkship and worked one to two years at a law firm. A large part of our cases have an international character, so your knowledge of English should be very good. Experience abroad, additional language skills, and a degree in a field other than law are meritorious.
You are a driven colleague who is used to delivering good results even under time pressure. You have an interest and aptitude for legal investigative work and the ambition to constantly develop. You want to learn about clients' operations and contribute to developing practical advice and to evolve into a skilled litigation lawyer. It is important that you are a puzzle piece that fits into our culture, that you want to be involved and quickly climb both in terms of experience and competence.
