The Opportunity

This newly created leadership position sits within the firm's Business Technology & Analytics organization and serves as the leader of its executive research and relationship intelligence function. Working directly with senior business leadership, this individual will oversee the development of executive briefing materials, competitive research, relationship intelligence, and strategic insights that support high-level meetings, business development efforts, and executive decision-making. The role combines research leadership, business intelligence, relationship mapping, data stewardship, and team management in a highly visible front-office support function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead preparation of executive briefing materials for senior leadership meetings, client interactions, conferences, and strategic initiatives
  • Conduct in-depth research across companies, industries, executives, investors, and market trends
  • Synthesize large volumes of information into concise, executive-ready deliverables
  • Deliver actionable business intelligence that supports relationship management and strategic decision-making
  • Oversee relationship intelligence databases and executive contact information
  • Maintain and enhance CRM data quality and relationship mapping initiatives
  • Identify meaningful connections across organizations, executives, investors, advisors, and other key stakeholders
  • Partner with internal teams to leverage relationship intelligence across multiple business functions
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of research professionals
  • Manage project prioritization, workflow, and quality standards
  • Establish research methodologies, documentation standards, and best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement across research operations and deliverables

Business Technology & Analytics

  • Partner with technology and data teams to improve research capabilities through automation and AI-enabled tools
  • Support initiatives that improve research speed, quality, and scalability
  • Develop standardized reporting, templates, and knowledge resources
  • Promote data governance and information quality across business systems

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with executive leadership, business development, investor relations, marketing, and technology teams
  • Support strategic planning, client engagement, and executive communications
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for research, competitive intelligence, and relationship insights
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology and data analytics

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 7+ years of experience in executive research, competitive intelligence, business research, knowledge management, investor relations, corporate strategy, consulting, journalism, legal research, or similar analytical environments
  • Previous leadership or team management experience
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills
  • Strong ability to synthesize complex information into concise executive summaries
  • Experience working with CRM platforms, LinkedIn, and business intelligence tools
  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve research and knowledge management workflows
  • Outstanding analytical thinking, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced executive environment
