Annual salary ~$220-250k (Base salary + Production bonus)

This Associate Veterinarian role is for someone who is looking to join an incredibly supportive and growing clinic. They are a general practice with emergency room capabilities and are hiring 2 additional Associate Veterinarians (open to full time or part time availability). Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical exams and develop diagnostic and treatment plans
  • Diagnose and manage a variety of medical conditions in animals
  • Utilize veterinary terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and instructions to animal owners.
  • Perform soft tissue surgery and dental procedures (mentorship available if needed)
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results
  • Provide client education with clarity, empathy, and confidence
  • Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians and team members
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and their pets
  • Deliver high-quality care in both routine and urgent care scenarios
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree
  • Active New Jersey veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
  • 3-10 years of veterinary critical care practices
  • Proven experience in veterinary emergency situations requires immediate attention.
  • Strong animal handling skills, including dog handling and general pet care practices.
  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques.
  • Proven experience with animal catheterization, laboratory procedures, and maintaining sterile environments.
  • Laboratory experience related to diagnostic testing or sample analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive, collaborative approach
