We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established, AAHA-accredited small animal practice in San Antonio, TX. This role is perfect for experienced veterinarians or motivated new graduates who want to provide high-quality, diverse veterinary care in a supportive, collaborative environment .

You’ll have the opportunity to work across general practice and urgent care , treating dogs, cats, and small animals, with a varied caseload that keeps every day engaging. Mentorship is available for new graduates, while experienced veterinarians can help shape the practice and take part in leadership opportunities during ongoing facility expansions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for small animals
  • Collaborate with support staff, fellow veterinarians, and specialists
  • Educate clients on preventative care, nutrition, and responsible pet ownership
  • Participate in mentorship, teaching, and structured professional development programs
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure excellent client communication

Candidate Profile

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD from an accredited institution
  • Valid veterinary license in Texas
  • Passion for small animal medicine and client education
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
  • Interest in mentorship, career growth, and professional development
  • Competitive salary ($130,000 – $160,000, DOE)
