Location Chicago, United States Sector Other Salary $150,000.00 to $165,000.00 per annum
Atlas is excited to be working with a growing, veterinarian-led company that is changing the way families experience end-of-life care. With a deliberately low-volume schedule and in-home appointments across the greater Chicago area, the focus is on giving veterinarians the time to provide thoughtful care when families need it most.
In-home euthanasia is the focus of the role, with veterinarians travelling to clients' homes to provide end-of-life and comfort-focused care for dogs and cats. The schedule is built around approximately four appointments per day, with appointments generally finishing by late afternoon and the working day ending around 6:00–6:30pm. There is no traditional GP caseload, surgery schedule or emergency workload to manage.
The service has been built around a very different client experience from a conventional veterinary hospital. Families are seen in the privacy of their own homes, allowing the veterinarian to take the time needed for conversations, decision-making and the euthanasia itself without the pressure of a packed appointment book. A dedicated operations team handles scheduling, administration and client communication, leaving the veterinarian to focus on the family and patient in front of them.
Atlas is excited to be supporting the company as it continues to grow its presence in the Chicago area and beyond. The role offers a high degree of autonomy, support behind the scenes and the opportunity to help shape a growing model of veterinary care.
