Associate Veterinarian – Rancho Park Veterinary Clinic

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Associate Veterinarian to join our team at Rancho Park Veterinary Clinic in West Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will provide high‑quality veterinary care, communicate effectively with clients, and collaborate closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups
  • Client communication and education
  • Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Pharmacy duties, including prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols
  • Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
  • Collaborate with Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
  • Evaluate and monitor protocols for daily hospital operations
  • Monitor cases and attend daily rounds to uphold high standards
  • Participate in practice‑management updates and training at all levels
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications (Required)

  • Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution
  • Current State Veterinary License
  • DEA registration maintained
  • 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice
  • Strong diagnostic, clinical, surgical, and dental skills
  • Team‑oriented work style and excellent interpersonal communication
  • Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality care
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with staff and clients
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderately demanding tasks

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Clinical knowledge in cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other examinations
  • Problem‑solving and management of a high‑quality veterinary hospital
  • Effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and staff
  • Professionalism and constructive feedback in a team environment
  • Business acumen regarding practice management and finances
  • Ethical decision‑making and commitment to continuing education

Pay Range

$160,000 — $180,000 USD
