The College Way Animal Hospital is part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community and offers preventative medicine, including wellness exams, dentistry, surgery, and in‑house diagnostics. The hospital is located in beautiful Mount Vernon, Washington—a playground for outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, boating, and skiing, and within easy reach of the stunning San Juan Islands, the Cascades, BC Canada, and Seattle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality medical care to patients.
  • Perform wellness exams, dentistry, surgery, and in‑house diagnostics.
  • Educate clients on pet health and preventive care.
  • Conduct research on complex cases and apply findings to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a team to foster strong human‑animal bonds and support the local community.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required.
  • State Veterinary Board License in good standing for the state in which the position is located.
  • Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.
  • Experience in general practice.
  • Strong interest in surgery or dentistry.

Compensation

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience, with an annual PROSAL range starting at $130,000 per year and including production compensation opportunities and no negative accrual.
