Lake Community Pet Clinic is seeking a compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Leesburg, Florida.

The Position
Our Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care for small animal patients while working collaboratively with our veterinary and support teams.
Responsibilities may include:
- Performing wellness and sick-patient examinations
- Diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries
- Developing individualized diagnostic and treatment plans
- Providing preventive and wellness care
- Performing routine surgical procedures based on experience and comfort level
- Providing and overseeing dental care and procedures
- Reviewing and interpreting laboratory results, radiographs, and other diagnostics
- Communicating treatment recommendations clearly and compassionately with clients
- Educating pet owners about preventive care and disease management
- Maintaining accurate and timely medical records
- Collaborating with veterinary technicians, assistants, receptionists, and fellow doctors
- Helping maintain a respectful, supportive, and patient-focused clinic environment
We want our doctors to feel supported while also having the professional independence to use their clinical judgment and practice thoughtful medicine.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary is negotiable based on experience, schedule, clinical skills, and the needs of the candidate and practice.
Our benefits package includes:
- 4 weeks of paid time off after 90 days of employment
- 5 sick days after 90 days of employment
- 8 paid holidays
- DEA license fees covered – approximately $888 every 3 years
- Florida veterinary license renewal covered – approximately $265 every 2 years
- $2,000 annual continuing education allowance
- PLIT veterinary professional liability insurance covered – approximately $383 annually
- AVMA membership dues covered – approximately $370 annually and required for PLIT coverage
- Health insurance provided

Applicants should:
- Hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), or equivalent veterinary degree
- Hold a current Florida veterinary license or be eligible to obtain Florida licensure
- Hold or be eligible to obtain appropriate DEA registration when required for the position
- Be committed to providing compassionate, high-quality small animal veterinary care
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients and team members
- Be comfortable working collaboratively with veterinary technicians, assistants, receptionists, and fellow doctors
- Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and a willingness to discuss and collaborate on cases
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Follow all clinic safety, confidentiality, medical, and patient-care policies
- Be dependable, professional, and team-oriented
- Have an interest in building long-term relationships with clients and becoming part of the community we serve
- Have an interest in long-term growth with the practice, including the potential opportunity for future ownership or buy-in participation for the right candidate
