We are working on behalf of a mission-driven, nonprofit veterinary hospital in Las Vegas, NV that is looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to its growing team. Having started out as an animal rescue, the organization has grown into a full-service practice with a genuine access-to-care mission. Grants, financial aid and veterinary social workers mean no pet is turned away.
The flagship hospital is open seven days a week and is supported by a second preventive care clinic, with around 25,000 pets seen each year. The hospital is fully equipped with in-house X-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy, bringing surgery, dentistry and general medicine together under one roof. The caseload is varied and fast-paced, from spay/neuter and dentals to special surgeries, medicine appointments, walk-ins and urgent cases such as pyometras and enucleations. A heavy support staffing model is built around high-volume workflow, and doctors never handle financial conversations, so you can focus on medicine.
The role is fully customizable, whether you prefer rooms only, surgery only, or a mix, on a full-time schedule of four 10 hour days on consecutive days. Weekends are negotiable, and the team is currently open to no weekends. You can decline procedures you are not yet comfortable with and build your skills at your own pace.
Three or more years of GP experience is ideal, and ER experience is a big plus, but all levels are welcome, including new grads. Production is tracked for sustainability only and is never used in a punitive way. This is genuinely meaningful work, filling real community needs for pets who would otherwise go without care.
