Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will:
Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care to small animal patients.
Diagnose and treat a broad range of illnesses, diseases, and injuries.
Interpret diagnostic results and develop personalised treatment plans.
Utilise digital radiography, dental imaging, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory testing.
Manage routine and more complex medical cases where clinically appropriate.
Perform general small animal surgical procedures.
Provide comprehensive wellness and preventive healthcare.
Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment options, prognoses, and home-care requirements.
Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients and their pets.
Collaborate closely with veterinarians, Registered Veterinary Technicians, and support professionals.
Work with referral centres when specialist care is appropriate.
Support local rescue patients and community initiatives where required.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient medical records.
Continue developing clinical skills through continuing education and mentorship.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent and possess, or be eligible to obtain, a California veterinary licence .
