Introduction

Our client is a hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. This is an AAHA-accredited small animal hospital seeking a full-time or part-time DVM to join its supportive and collaborative team. The practice focuses on comprehensive care for dogs and cats, delivering both routine wellness services and complex medical case management in a modern, well-equipped setting.

Working Hours / Rota

The hospital offers full-time or part-time opportunities. Current operating hours are Monday - Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm and Saturday - Sunday from 8:00am to 3:30pm. Some weekend work is required as part of the schedule.

Role Description and Responsibilities

This role is open to experienced veterinarians or new graduates. Clinical responsibilities include comprehensive wellness exams, preventive care, vaccinations, parasite control, microchipping, and weight management programs. The Associate Veterinarian will perform general surgery including spays and neuters, dentistry including dental X-rays and periodontics, anesthesia, pain management, hospitalization, and emergency care cases seen during business hours. The position also includes diagnostics such as EKG, OFA X-rays, Tonopen use, full in-house laboratory testing, radiology, oxygen and transfusion therapy, and complex case management. Strong client communication and collaboration with the medical team are essential components of the role.

This is an AAHA-accredited hospital committed to high standards of veterinary medicine and Fear Free techniques when possible. The facility is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, EKG, OFA X-ray capabilities, Tonopen, dental X-rays, in-house laboratory, in-house pharmacy, surgical suite, isolation ward, and oxygen and transfusion therapy. Services include preventive medicine, wellness testing, allergy relief, dentistry, general surgery, geriatric medicine, hospitalization, emergency care during business hours, and comprehensive diagnostics. The hospital promotes hands-free radiology to ensure safety for patients and staff.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so

Salary up to $180,000 (Annual)

  • $80k-$180k base salary + production
