Associate Veterinarian for Private Practice

Onsite Full Time Bio & Pharmacology & Health

Practice medicine the way you imagined you would.

At Alpine Animal Hospital, we believe great veterinary medicine starts with supporting the people who provide it. We’re a privately owned small-animal practice in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina, and we’re looking for an associate veterinarian who wants to enjoy coming to work each day, practice high-quality medicine, and become part of a genuinely supportive team.

Whether you’re a new graduate looking for mentorship or an experienced veterinarian seeking a better work-life balance, we’d love to meet you.

Why Alpine?

Our goal is simple: provide excellent care for our patients while creating a workplace where veterinarians have the time, support, and autonomy to do their best work.

You’ll enjoy:

  • Three- or four-day work week
  • No after-hours or emergency duty
  • Experienced, team-oriented support staff
  • Digital radiography, in-house laboratory, surgical laser, and modern dental equipment
  • The opportunity to pursue surgery and dentistry if those are areas you enjoy—or focus on wellness and internal medicine if they’re not
  • A collaborative environment where questions and ideas are always welcome
  • A privately owned practice where decisions are made locally—not by a corporate office

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package tailored to your experience and interests.

  • Salary: $110,000–$130,000
  • Production bonus opportunities
  • CE allowance
  • Licensing and professional dues
  • Retirement contribution
  • Health insurance stipend
  • Paid time off
  • Employee pet care discounts

Who We’re Looking For

  • DVM (or equivalent)
  • Eligible for North Carolina veterinary licensure
  • New graduates and experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply

We’re looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others, values compassionate patient care, and wants to help build a practice where both clients and team members feel valued.
