Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its mixed animal practice. Established in 1973, the hospital provides comprehensive care for both small and large animals, including wellness, urgent care, advanced diagnostics, surgery, and orthopedic procedures. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care across a varied mixed animal caseload, performing wellness examinations, diagnostics, surgery, urgent care, and advanced medical treatments while building long-term relationships with clients through education and communication. Responsibilities include leading patient care from diagnosis through treatment, collaborating closely with the paraprofessional team, and contributing to a positive hospital culture. The role offers the opportunity to work with small animals, large animals, exotic pets, pocket pets, and farm animals, while utilizing advanced diagnostic and surgical services. The position is open to veterinarians holding a DVM degree with a valid state license, with an interest or experience in exotic medicine welcomed.
Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and is closed on Sundays. The practice offers wellness and preventative care, urgent care, advanced diagnostics, internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, endocrinology, orthopedics, behavior therapy, laser therapy, blood transfusions, boarding, dentistry, anesthesia, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, CCL repair, TPLO, mass removals, spays and neuters, and hospice care. Diagnostic capabilities include blood and laboratory testing, digital radiography, ultrasound, tonometry, electrocardiography, and advanced anesthetic monitoring. The hospital also provides comprehensive care for exotic pets, pocket pets, and farm animals, supported by internal mentorship, consultation programmes, and professional development opportunities within a collaborative, growth-focused environment.
Team
The hospital is staffed by 11 DVMs working alongside a supportive paraprofessional team in a collaborative environment that encourages mentorship, knowledge sharing, and professional growth. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
The Package
Salary up to $130,000 (Annual)
