Role Description
The Associate Veterinarian will provide medical, surgical, and preventive care to companion animals in an on-site clinical setting located in Delray Beach, FL. This part-time role includes performing examinations, diagnosing conditions, recommending diagnostic tests, and creating treatment plans. Day-to-day responsibilities involve client communication and education, reviewing medical histories, prescribing medications, and performing routine procedures and minor surgeries as appropriate. The Associate Veterinarian will collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care and a positive client experience. The role also includes maintaining accurate medical records and adhering to clinic protocols and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) and current, unrestricted Florida veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Experience in small animal general practice, including wellness care, diagnostics, and treatment of common medical conditions.
- Competence in routine procedures such as vaccinations, basic dentistry, and minor surgical interventions.
- Strong communication and client education skills, with the ability to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively with veterinary technicians and support staff in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Commitment to animal welfare, ethical medical decision-making, and evidence-based practice.
