Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical care to a variety of animal species.
- Perform routine examinations, vaccinations, and preventive care.
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in pets and livestock.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff for optimal care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Educate pet owners on animal health, nutrition, and wellness practices.
Qualifications
- Obtain a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Pass the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE) and any state-specific licensing exams.
- Gain relevant clinical experience through internships or externships during veterinary education.
- Develop strong communication skills for interacting with pet owners and staff.
- Stay updated on veterinary medicine advancements through continuing education.
- Exhibit compassion and empathy towards animals and their owners.
