Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate Veterinarian to join the Cerbat Cliffs Animal Hospital in Kingman, AZ. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high‑quality veterinary care and possess excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships with clients. You will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff and will collaborate closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups
- Communicate and educate clients about care plans
- Conduct diagnostic procedures and surgeries
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Handle pharmacy duties, including prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols
- Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
- Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
- Evaluate and monitor protocols for daily hospital operations from intake to discharge
- Monitor cases and attend daily rounds as needed to uphold high standards
- Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels
- Perform other duties assigned by management
Qualifications (Required)
- Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university
- Current State Veterinary License
- DEA registration obtained and maintained
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent surgical and dental skills
- Team‑oriented working style
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality care
- Ability to communicate efficiently with staff and clients
- Client communication skills: establishing rapport and clarifying medical information
- Confidence when handling stressed, ill, or painful pets
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderately demanding tasks
- Flexibility for occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling as needed
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Advanced clinical knowledge and diagnostic experience with cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other examinations
- Problem‑solving skills for high‑quality practice management
- Effective client communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options

- Business acumen: understanding practice finances and operations
- Ethical judgment in veterinary decision‑making
