We are proud to partner with a veterinarian-owned, independent small animal hospital in Laurel, MD that is expanding its schedule to better serve a growing community and is now welcoming an Associate Veterinarian to the team. This is a thoughtfully run, modern practice built around gold-standard medicine, low-stress handling, and honest client communication.
The hospital is a stand alone facility designed with patient flow and comfort in mind, including separate entrance and exit pathways for infectious cases. Clinically, you will have everything you need to work cases up in-house: digital radiography (standard and dental), ultrasound, therapy laser, and a fully equipped IDEXX laboratory, so you can run thorough, efficient workups without constant external referrals.
You will be backed by a skilled, confident, and communicative support team that values education as highly as patient care. Ongoing learning is built into the culture here, with monthly staff training, outsourced education, CE lectures, and genuine mentorship, so the role suits experienced veterinarians and those earlier in their journey alike.
The practice is deeply mission-driven, blending medical and behavioral health with compassionate, Fear Free principles. They pride themselves on honest, educational conversations and long-term relationships built on trust, alongside a strong community focus that includes charitable work and partnerships with local organizations.
Flexible scheduling, negotiable hours, and a real commitment to work-life balance make this a sustainable, long-term opportunity in a privately owned environment where your voice genuinely matters. If you are a new or recent graduate, this is a fantastic place to launch your career.
