Valuation Services Associate

About the Successful Candidate

You are analytical, low on politics, and high on impact. You enjoy problem‑solving, have a strong background in finance, economics, or accounting, and aim for a role where your efforts directly impact client success. You learn quickly, build models, and communicate complex technical issues clearly.

Typical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in accounting, finance, economics, or other quantitative fields. Please list your GPA.
  • 0–4 years experience in data analysis or financial modeling. More senior candidates may be considered for other roles.
  • Expertise in quantitative finance subjects such as derivatives valuation or theoretical accounting work.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting processes, reviewing technical materials, and performing analyses.
  • Ability to think critically and solve “out‑of‑the‑box” problems independently.
  • Creativity in engineering processes for controls and efficiency.
  • Strong internal and external communication and time‑management skills.
  • Desirable: Exposure to SAS or another programming language for high‑volume data handling.

Role Responsibilities

  • Complete the new‑hire training program covering internal processes, algorithms, programming tools, industry context, and client engagement structures.
  • Support and lead valuation consulting engagements, demonstrating financial modeling, critical data analysis, and quantitative finance skills.
  • Design, implement, and document processes and rationale underlying engagements, ensuring solutions meet client circumstances and comply with regulations and accounting standards.
  • Participate in client delivery meetings and external audit review sessions.
  • Support practice initiatives related to risk management, practice development, and research.
