Associate Test Engineer - OnsiteGenesis10 is currently seeking an Associate Test Engineer - Onsite position with a leading technology firm located in Milpitas, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. Pay Range: $30.25 - $36.30 per hour based on experience.We are looking for an Associate Test Engineer for a manufacturing environment, involved with testing new technologies including optics, opto-mechanical assemblies, and electrical/PCB systems. This role will work on moderately complex assignments requiring judgment to resolve problems. The shift for this position is 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with overtime required.Primary Responsibilities:Maintain tool schedules and complete alignment processes per defined test timesSupport tool progression prioritiesPerform set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies, wafer/reticle handlers, and/or final systemsDetermine and may develop methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagramsTest and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems, and complete rework as a result of testingPrepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problemsMay assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipmentMay provide work assignment direction and technical training to peersRequirements:Hands-on experience in systems electro-mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repairAbility to work in a clean room environment is requiredExperience with systems development and testing, including formulating system level requirements, test specifications and test resultsAble to use and manipulate a variety of fine adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches, and calipersWork effectively across different functional teams in different locationsDemonstrate excellent written and oral interpersonal skills in EnglishDemonstrate excellent organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritizationDedicated and able to work with a minimum of supervisionTechnical Certificate, or AS degree, or military technical training experience, or equivalent vocational training in a technical discipline and a minimum of 2 years of related experienceDemonstrated ability to work with little or no instruction on routine work, and with general instructions on new assignmentsDemonstrate the ability to use a variety of testing and measuring instrumentsA willingness to learn, collaborate effectively within and across teams, and strive for continuous improvementAble to work extended hours, including weekendsAble to stand, sit, bend, climb, and periodically lift 30 pounds without assistanceDesired Skills:A BSME, BSEET or similar degree in an engineering discipline is strongly preferredOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
