Associate Technical DesignerAs Associate Technical Designer, you will generate and implement basic programs, and oversee product technical specifications for Kohl's Proprietary Brands.What You'll DoDevelop accurate technical specifications aligned with Kohl's Brand ID and minimum construction standardsPerform benchmarking, remain informed on market trends and review competition to provide strategic recommendationsEstablish industry knowledge through continuous learning in fit, mass production and supplier relationshipsFacilitate communication and collaboration between internal and external partners to achieve product fit and development solutionsPrepare for sample reviews by organizing sample evaluations, scheduling review time and communicating with cross-functional teammatesConclude analysis and feedback of sample evaluation into a detailed summary of actionable sample corrections for Vendor through clear written communication, sketches, photos and other mediaStay informed about customer feedback to ensure products consistently meet expectations and identify any potential concernsAdditional tasks may be assignedWhat Skills You HaveRequired: Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Manufacturing or a related fieldRequired: 2+ years of experience in Technical Design, Fashion Design, Pattern Making, Manufacturing, or related industryRequired: Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skillsRequired: Strong verbal and written communication skillsPreferred: Experience using PLM and Adobe Illustrator or similar specification packages and sketching programsPreferred: Knowledge of textiles, construction and pattern-making/gradingThis role is based at our Corporate Office in Menomonee Falls, WI. You'll work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
