Technical DesignerWe are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Technical Designer to support our Juniors category. In this role, you will partner closely with the Technical Design Leader and Design Team to uphold fit, construction, and quality standards, ensuring a consistent and positive customer experience.This position plays a key role in evaluating garment samples, participating in fit sessions, and maintaining accurate technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to balance design intent with production-ready execution.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in weekly fit sessions and assist in evaluating garment prototypesMeasure samples prior to fittings and take detailed notes during the fit processComplete and distribute accurate fit reports post-fitting sessionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to translate design intent into production-ready garments, balancing aesthetic and technical requirementsRecommend appropriate adjustments to specifications, patterns, and construction methods to enhance garment fit, balance, and overall qualityMaintain fit consistency across the Juniors category by applying standard grade rules aligned with customer or in-house guidelinesEnsure adherence to the Product Lifecycle Calendar, particularly with timely Garment Fit ApprovalsCommunicate daily with overseas offices and vendor partners to resolve fit and quality concerns and meet production timelinesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field3-5 years of experience in technical design or apparel product development preferredStrong understanding of garment construction, fit standards, and gradingProficient in measurement techniques and interpreting technical specificationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentExperience with PLM systems and Adobe Illustrator is a plusHybrid Work Schedule4 days a week in the office, 1 day work from homeNew York Pay Rate $63,000 - $75,000We strive to hire and nurture amazing talent.
