To support a growing SALT team, the full-time State Licensed SALT Senior Associate will assist with the timely completion of income, franchise, and sales/use tax projects, participate in multi-state tax return preparation, and conduct research on state tax legislation while working remotely. Key responsibilities Assist in the accurate and timely completion of income, franchise, and sales/use tax projects Participate in all stages of state and local income and franchise tax engagements, including data gathering and preparation of multi-state tax returns Perform research and analysis on state law and stay current with proposed state tax legislation and multi-state tax law updates Required qualifications A minimum of 2 years of tax experience with familiarity in state and local tax concepts Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting and/or taxation, or an advanced degree (e.g., law degree) Minimum of forty hours of continuing professional education required annually Proficiency in tax compliance software, legal research software, and Microsoft Office programs Positive attitude with strong organizational and time management skills
