About the Role

*This role requires being onsite at our Los Angeles office twice a week.

As an Associate Strategy Director, you’ll set and implement social media and other creative and content strategies to align with communication campaigns across multiple channels. The ideal candidate is a fast, flexible, culturally‑savvy go‑getter who jumps on new opportunities to create impactful work. Additionally, the ideal candidate feels comfortable leading projects and isn’t afraid to share a POV. You’ll translate marketing objectives into channel strategy and social content ecosystems in both English and Spanish with ease.

This role requires the ability to successfully manage relationships with both external client stakeholders and internal agency teams as they work together to bring social strategies and content to life for a California state government agency. The ideal candidate is someone who can work autonomously in a fast‑paced, strategic role with heavy Spanish language writing and ideation proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to plan, manage, and execute multi‑channel (TV, social and more) strategy for a Californian government agency across multiple mediums and social platforms, in both English and Spanish.
  • Develop creative briefs for product and seasonal campaigns.
  • Work with creative teams to develop briefs, communications/messaging and creative assets.
  • Distill insights into compact, easy‑to‑understand language that inspires conceptual creative development.
  • Collaborate with cross‑agency team to oversee research and creative testing; provide insights and align with creative on optimizations.
  • Provide thought leadership to clients as well as recommendations for best practices and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify opportunities and clearly communicate strategic recommendations both internally and to the client.
  • Collaborate with the data & analytics team to analyze performance metrics, uncover trends and optimize content strategies.
  • Identify key insights to inform content creation and enhance engagement strategies.
  • Track and report feedback and reviews across social platforms, providing actionable insights for improvement.
  • Collaborate with strategy, account, and creative teams to ensure all social media content aligns with brand guidelines.
  • Stay informed on digital trends, cultural shifts, and best practices to adapt strategies and improve community management efforts.
  • Maintain Hispanic/Latine market and cultural expertise.

About You

The Essentials

  • Proficient if not fully fluent in both Spanish and English. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required.
  • 7+ years of marketing, strategy and community management experience working with multicultural and/or Latine accounts.
  • Independently develop dual‑language social and campaign strategies that will flex across multiple media channels from TV to social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
  • Work on a highly cross‑functional team with ability to manage multiple projects with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with creatives to inspire them in bringing ideas to life.
  • Team player, bring a positive attitude, meeting challenges with resilience and humor.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of social media good practices in terms of formats, features and tone.
  • Knowledge of metrics, social listening tools and digital reports.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be based in California.

This role is subject to our Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week. The specific details, including the number of required office days, will be in accordance with the company’s then‑current RTO policy, which is subject to change from time to time.

Salary Range: $90,000—$108,000 USD
