In collaboration with Single Use and Integrated Systems R&D teams, this position supports laboratory operations and applied analytical work for the PAT & Digital Applications group. The role serves as the primary lab manager across two lab spaces while contributing hands-on to biomanufacturing process development activities.

What you'll do:

• Lab Operations Management: Own day-to-day operations across PAT & Digital lab spaces — inventory management, supply ordering, consumable tracking, equipment scheduling, and lab organization
• Equipment Coordination: Schedule and track maintenance for analytical and bioprocess instruments (HPLC, Raman spectrometers, bioreactor systems, cell counters, chromatography skids, filtration systems). Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on service, repairs, and new equipment installation
• Analytical & Downstream Process Support: Prepare buffers, media, and solutions for chromatography, tangential flow filtration (TFF), and depth filtration workflows. Assist with sample collection, processing, and submission for offline analytics (HPLC, cell counts, titer assays).
• Upstream Process Support: Assist with bioreactor run preparation — media prep, inoculation, feeding, and sampling — across small-scale and bench-scale systems
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain lab safety standards, conduct routine inspections, manage hazardous waste disposal, and ensure training compliance for lab personnel
• Asset & Data Management: Maintain fixed asset records, organize analytical data and instrument files, and support data backup and transfer across team systems
• Facility Coordination: Schedule recurring lab cleanups, freezer cleanouts, and decommissioning of equipment. Serve as the primary point of contact for deliveries, package distribution, and lab space logistics
• Procurement: Manage purchasing workflows, track open orders, and reconcile expense reports in a timely manner

Who you are:

• B.S. in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, chemical engineering, or a related life science field — or equivalent hands-on experience. 0–2 years of work experience in a laboratory setting
• You have direct experience in a wet lab environment with exposure to bioprocessing or analytical workflows — buffer preparation, chromatography, filtration, or cell culture
• You have experience managing laboratory operations: ordering, inventory, equipment coordination, and lab organization in an R&D or biomanufacturing setting
• You are highly organized and self-directed — you can track multiple open tasks across lab spaces without constant oversight
• You have familiarity with bioprocessing equipment (bioreactors, filtration systems, chromatography skids, or analytical instruments such as HPLC) and are comfortable learning new systems hands-on
• You communicate proactively with teammates — flagging issues, following up on open items, and coordinating across groups without being asked
• You bring basic data management skills (spreadsheets, electronic records) and can maintain organized documentation
