Title: Research Associate – RNAi Chemical Development
Location: Boulder, CO – Onsite
Schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with some flexibility
Duration: 1+ year, with potential extension
Pay Rate: $27/hr on w2
Role Overview
Seeking a Research Associate to support the preparation and delivery of high-quality oligonucleotide starting materials for RNAi manufacturing and process development. This role will work within a cross-functional environment supporting innovation, chemical development, and scale-up activities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver oligonucleotide starting materials.
- Perform laboratory procedures related to oligonucleotide synthesis, processing, and purification.
- Maintain reliable material supply workflows and laboratory equipment.
- Support ligation development through timely substrate preparation.
- Document laboratory workflows, materials, and activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams involved in chemical development, innovation, API development, and oligonucleotide production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–3+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Familiarity with standard laboratory techniques.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive, willing, and collaborative attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HPLC or LC-MS.
- Familiarity with automated oligonucleotide synthesizers, such as Mermade systems.
- Experience with ion-exchange purification of oligonucleotides.
- Basic understanding of RNAi or oligonucleotide chemistry.
