Developmental Program For Future Project ManagersThis position will be a developmental program for future Project Managers of which the necessary training and experience to fill a Project Manager position through mentoring and practical experience.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist Project Management group with daily activities including, but not limited to, preparation for kickoff meetings, project cost meetings and field planning (meetings, planning sheets, checklists, maps)Manage a light project workload under close supervision of Manager of Project Management Services and other project managers as assignedAssist in the coordination of field repairs with internal departments and customer as requiredReview revised drawings, NOC's for scope changes in preparation for change ordersVisit project sites prior to erection to review status, concerns and communicate Fabcon Field process to the customerAttend project site meetings as necessaryShadow project managers in review and negotiation of contractsAttend scheduling meetings and maintain project timelines as requiredAssist in review of specifications and coordination of submittal requirementsAssist in coordination of the drawing process with customers (OFA, FE and DMLO approvals)Assist in obtaining quotes from subcontractors and the development of the subcontractor baseAssist in coordination of closing out projects both in collections, punch-lists and documents required by contractsAssist in handling 10 and out plan, tracking activities on projects to completionFollowing up on materials needed for completion and subcontractors as requiredReview OFA drawings for compliance with scope outlined in kickoffAssist in preparation of EAC's for timely loading of bidsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceOther Required QualificationsStrong leadership, organizational and decision-making skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentCustomer Service focus with excellent verbal and written communication skillsGood computer skills; Word, Excel and OutlookAn understanding of construction with the ability to read and understand construction drawings and specificationsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or BusinessMinimum of two (2) years' experience in construction industryPhysical RequirementsOffice: Move 25lbs (not for all jobs, reasonable accommodations will be made), work with a computer for extended periods of timeTravel: Some travel by car and/or airplane may be requiredWork EnvironmentOffice: Quiet with some ambient noise, climate controlled, fluorescent lightingEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
