Overview

Associate Professor (tenure) in the Ph.D. Program in Theatre and Performance at the Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY).

Responsibilities

• Teach courses, including required core courses.
• Conduct research and publish scholarly work.
• Serve on faculty committees, supervise research projects, and provide administrative service.
• Participate in departmental and university governance.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in area(s) of expertise or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to teach successfully.
• Strong scholarship or academic achievement.
• Ability to collaborate and contribute to the institution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in all facets of a faculty position, including teaching, research, and service.
• Experience on thesis or dissertation committees and commitment to advising and mentoring.
• Leadership potential and interest in collaboration.
• Research interests in European theatre and performance, transatlantic/global engagements, theoretical approaches, political or cultural contestations, mobility and movement.

Compensation

$117,971–$125,436 per year; includes health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs.
