Associate Product ManagerThe associate product manager works closely with the manager of the Product Marketing Group to manage products throughout their lifecycle, from strategic definition to obsolescence planning. Establishes processes for management of product requirements throughout their lifecycle. Establishes processes for product release. Develops business plans for new and existing products.Essential duties include:Research and collect data to determine potential markets, market size, competition, pricing, and other market factorsFacilitate communication of market trends and information to Product Managers, Engineering, and sales divisions to better identify possible new productsAssist in the development of a pricing strategy that reflects an optimum potential for sales and profit (revenue maximization)Assist in the development of inventory and/or manufacturing plans suitable to support domestic sales effortsAssist in creating and implementing promotion plans to support direct sales and sales growth through indirect channelsIdentify and prioritize new product opportunities based on developed knowledge of the market, technological advancements, field sales information, and voice of customer dataSupport promotion efforts to ensure that sales objectives are metServe as the point of contact for initiatives involving assigned productsWork closely with the Product Manager to come up with strategies (product, industry, etc.) and execute those strategiesProduct life cycle management from launch to obsolescenceAny other marketing or product management-related tasks as assigned by the manager of the Product Marketing GroupAll other duties as assigned.Physical demands/work environment include:Employees will work in a fast-paced corporate cultureThey'll also work in an office environmentSustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods is requiredMinimum requirements include:2-4 years of experience in engineering or product management. Experience in Industrial Products is highly preferredBachelor's Degree is required for this position. Electrical or Mechanical Engineering concentration or related work experience is preferredExcellent project management skillsStrong interpersonal and relationship management skillsDemonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional and team-oriented environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical skills and ability to deliver results with complex projectsAbility to comprehend technical aspects of product and communicate it in a meaningful wayProficiency in spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft ExcelAbility to travel as needed (<10%)
