Direct Investments Group

The Direct Investment strategy is GIC’s platform for making large-scale private equity investments. The group focuses on sourcing and investing directly in companies, independently and alongside other private equity sponsors. Notable investments include Ancestry.com, Medline, Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG), PetSmart, Chewy.com, Refinitiv, and Altium.

What impact can you make in this role?

You will be part of one of the largest and most established private equity investors in the world.

What will you do as an Associate?

• Support deal evaluation by building detailed financial models, conducting industry and market research, and performing financial and commercial due diligence.
• Prepare investment presentations, memos, and proposals, and present key findings to the investment committee.
• Assist GIC representatives at investee company board meetings and interact regularly with company management and other investors.
• Serve as a generalist with specialization in 2–3 industries.

What qualifications or skills should you possess?

• Strong academic qualifications.
• At least 2 years of experience in a top-tier investment bank or private equity fund.
• Excellent financial analysis and modeling skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in deal teams.

Compensation

Base pay range: $135,000 to $175,100. Bonuses may form a meaningful proportion of the total pay package and are determined based on company and individual performance.
