As a Prepared Foods Associate, you'll gain hands-on experience in food presentation, service excellence, product knowledge, and department operations. You'll work alongside experienced team members and have opportunities to expand your skills, take on additional responsibilities, and grow into leadership or specialized culinary roles for those who demonstrate initiative and dedication.Routine Tasks:Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge, answering questions, and making personalized suggestionsMaintain product freshness through regular rotation and quality checksRestock and rotate displays to ensure visual appeal and freshnessPrepare salads and pack out soups, pastas, sauces, and other prepared foodsPlate, package, and present items to meet Joseph's quality and appearance standardsAccurately package, label, and price self-service itemsFollow food safety and sanitation protocols at all timesOperate basic counter equipment, including scales, knives, and other counter equipmentAssist with other tasks as assignedQualifications:Must be at least 18 years of agePrior kitchen or food preparation experience preferredAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsBasic math and reading skillsStrong attention to detail and visual presentationTeam player with a positive, service-oriented attitudeA passion for serving peoplePhysical & Work EnvironmentA Prepared Foods Associate works primarily within the Prepared Foods department. This role involves walking and standing for extended periods and lifting products weighing up to 50 pounds.
