Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center (MSAHC) is seeking an energetic, clinically-oriented Board Certified Adolescent Medicine Physician to join their team as Associate Medical Director. This role involves providing comprehensive adolescent healthcare, including primary and subspecialty care, HIV treatment and prevention, and administrative leadership. The successful candidate will contribute to a model of excellence in adolescent health care, serving over 8000 youth annually through an innovative integrated model.

Practice Info

  • Provides care to over 8000 youth ages 10-26 years annually.
  • Offers medical, mental health, nutritional, legal, and optical care at no cost.
  • Operates six School Based health facilities.
  • Serves as a leading center of clinical care, specialized training, innovative research, and advocacy.
  • Provides direct care in a busy interdisciplinary Adolescent Health Center.
  • Inpatient adolescent medicine consultation service at Kravis Children's Hospital of Mount Sinai Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient primary and subspecialty adolescent clinical care.
  • Provide inpatient consultative care.
  • Provide HIV treatment and prevention outpatient care.
  • Lead administratively the HIV treatment and prevention program.
  • Lead administratively the outpatient medical program in partnership with the Medical Director.
  • Engage in medical education of residents and Adolescent Medicine fellows.
  • Develop and refine clinical protocols, optimize clinic flow and procedures, and develop and implement quality improvement projects.
  • Precept adolescent medicine fellows, pediatric residents, and Icahn School of Medicine medical students in the outpatient setting and serve as attending physician in the inpatient adolescent medicine consultation service.

Compensation

  • Compensation range from $190,000 to $275,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).
  • The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in clinical care and administrative leadership in Adolescent Medicine, including prior Assistant/Associate Medical Director experience.
  • MD Degree with Board Eligible/Certification in Pediatrics, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
  • Adolescent Medicine board certification.
  • New York Medical License.
  • Knowledge and expertise in HIV treatment and prevention is ideal.
  • Prior clinical program leadership experience (e.g., Medical Director, Assistant or Associate Medicine Director).
  • Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and familiarity with quality improvement methodology.
  • Experience leading grant-funded programs.
