Associate Manufacturing Engineer
Apex Systems is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join our client within the medical device industry. The position will be starting as a 6 month contract with high potential to extend.

Duration: 6+ Month Contract
Job Description: The Associate Engineer/ Manufacturing Engineer will work on assigned projects to validate & qualify equipment and processes for manufacturing.
- Works directly on process improvements with manufacturing equipment to solve technical problems.
- Write and execute validation/ engineering test protocols and reports
- Assist with technical documentation updates according to assigned project requirements.
- Analyzes process performance through observation, process time studies, task/motion analysis for identification of improvements and balancing opportunities.
- Use and understand Statistical based software and Quality tools.
- Work with Engineering, R&D, Operations and Quality as needed to support new equipment, processes or products.
- Applies working knowledge in the application of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks.
- Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity.
- Identifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes actions to resolve.
- Applies judgment within defined parameters.
- Receives general guidance may receive more detailed instruction on new projects.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in related field required; Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline preferred
- 2+ years related work experience preferred
- Experience in regulated industry (i.e. medical devices or pharmaceuticals) preferred
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Experience and proficiency providing data analysis and technical reports to convey test results, work status, and cost improvements.
- Ability to convey work content instructions to manufacturing and maintenance personnel.
- Experience with or exposure to SolidWorks or similar CAD/CAM software, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) and basic understanding of ladder logic, structured text based programming, and related communications.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment/component manuals, descriptions, diagrams, schematics, and specifications.
