A law firm seeks an Associate Litigation Attorney for its Houston, TX office. The ideal candidate will join the General Liability and Toxic Tort Practice Groups, bringing 4-5 years of civil litigation experience. This role requires exceptional research, writing, and litigation skills to manage cases in both state and federal courts.
Duties
- Manage cases proactively from start to finish in state and federal courts.
- Draft pleadings, written discovery, motions, and conduct related research.
- Communicate frequently with clients and provide detailed reporting.
- Conduct comprehensive legal analysis, case evaluations, and strategy recommendations.
- Coordinate and collaborate with expert witnesses.
- Attend depositions, court hearings, and mediations.
- Prepare for and attend trials.
Requirements
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice in Texas; additional state licenses are a plus.
- 4-5 years of litigation and toxic tort experience in state and federal courts.
- Ability to manage caseload proactively from start to finish.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent research, written, and oral communication skills.

Education
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
