Associate (Litigation 4th-5th Year)

Position

Fourth or Fifth Year Associate, Litigation-General Practice Group

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of litigation: fact investigation, pleadings, discovery, experts, motions, pretrial, trial, settlement, etc.
• Develop and maintain strong business and client relationships.
• Prepare witnesses for deposition and draft complaints, answers, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and manage filing and service of pleadings.

Qualifications

• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, oral advocacy, research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience with all aspects of discovery and the litigation process.
• Strong organizational and matter management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school; admitted to the New York State Bar in good standing.
• Previous or current experience with an Am Law 100 firm is desired.

Compensation

Pay range: $310,000 – $365,000, dependent on skill set and experience.
