This is a hybrid opportunity with 2 days per week in our New York City office and 3 days working remotely.
Active New York Bar admission and 2+ years of insurance defense litigation experience are required. We are a respected litigation-focused law firm representing insurers and commercial clients in sophisticated civil matters. Handle insurance defense litigation matters from initial assignment through resolution. Develop case strategy, investigate claims, evaluate exposure, and move matters efficiently toward favorable outcomes. Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, dispositive motions, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents. Prepare for and take depositions, attend court appearances, and participate in motion practice. Maintain clear, timely reporting and communication with insurance carriers and clients. Manage deadlines, discovery, case files, and competing priorities while maintaining excellent client service. Collaborate with partners and other attorneys while taking increasing ownership of your own matters.
2+ years of insurance defense litigation experience.
Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and case-management skills.
Litigation experience involving depositions, motion practice, discovery, and client or carrier reporting preferred.
Experience with general liability, commercial auto, trucking, casualty, or coverage matters is highly valued.
