Associate IT Operations EngineeriSoftStone, Inc. is seeking an Associate IT Operations Engineer to join our team in Carson, CA!*THIS IS A W2 CONTRACT, PART-TIME POSITION** PART-TIME SCHEDULE IS 16 HOURS ONSITE PER WEEK – MONDAY AND THURSDAY OR FRIDAY *We are seeking an Operations Engineer to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support for office staff, game developers, and production teams. The successful candidate will maintain workplace systems and network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and rapid incident resolution.Responsibilities:Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support (hardware, OS, software, peripherals)Support game development workstations and performance-critical toolsTroubleshoot network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, switches)Maintain on-prem servers, storage, virtualization, and build pipelinesMonitor system health, resolve incidents, and escalate when requiredMaintain documentation, asset inventory, and operational runbooksImprove IT workflows, automation, and service efficiencySupport CI/CD systems, version control, and DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Perforce)Qualifications:Five + years in IT operations, service desk, or infrastructure supportExperience supporting Windows and macOS in production environmentsStrong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)Hands-on experience with on-prem servers or virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V)Familiarity with DevOps tools or build systems in game or software environmentsExperience troubleshooting PC hardware, GPUs, and peripheralsStrong customer service mindset and problem-solving skillsClear communication with developers, artists, and production teamsAbility to prioritize in fast-paced studio environmentsProactive, detail-oriented, and service-drivenPreferred Qualifications:Experience supporting game engines (Unity / Unreal)Knowledge of Perforce, Git, Jenkins, build farms, render farmsExperience with high-performance workstations or GPU pipelinesExposure to on-prem DevOps automation and build systemsExposure to or experience with CI/CD toolsExposure to or experience with on-prem DevOps environments and DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Perforce)Pay Range: $ 35 to $45 /houriSoftStone is a global IT service and consulting company that creates value and drives success through technology solutions, service excellence, and digital innovation.
