Job Summary

Continuing Education and Community Engagement's English LanguageInstitute is hiring in-person adjunct ESL instructors to teach ESLclasses on a rolling basis.No online classes

Responsibilities

  • Teach ESL classes according to the class objectives andmaterials
  • Read ELI Mission and curriculum, prepare class syllabusaccording to the provided syllabi templates, read and followguidelines outlined in the ELI Faculty Handbook
  • Attend one faculty meeting and 1 sponsored activities (4 hrs.total) per session
  • Keep attendance, report attendance daily, record grades weekly,be able to arrange for substitutes in the event of an absence,maintain communication with ELI and check email daily

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's in TESOL or in a related field with a TESOLCertificate
  • Teaching experience, preferably in a variety of skills andlevels

  • Ability to communicate effectively with people from a varietyof cultures and countries
