Associate Instructional Assistant, Nursing
Provides academic support to Nursing program students. Works directly with students assisting in one-on-one, small group, and classroom settings. Supports the Program's objectives and initiatives as directed.
Essential functions include directly supervising Nursing program tutoring sessions, recognizing and responding to the learning needs of a diverse student population, ensuring a safe learning environment, assisting in the development of educational action plans, and working with various types of audio-visual materials and computer applications.
Required qualifications include a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, completion of a state board of nursing approved professional nursing education program, current active unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio, and minimum of two years of experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include working knowledge of Nursing concepts, excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, ability to foster a team environment, and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
