Associate Housekeeping Technician - Certified Surgical Cleaning

Job Summary: This role is dedicated to ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in line with healthcare standards and infection control protocols. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining hygiene and safety across various hospital areas.
Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned spaces, including operating rooms and common areas.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces and equipment thoroughly.
• Operate and care for cleaning tools and supplies responsibly.
• Properly handle, separate, and dispose of both regular and biohazardous waste.
• Adhere strictly to infection prevention, safety guidelines, and institutional policies.
• Collaborate effectively with team members while also working independently to fulfill department objectives.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Previous experience in a related cleaning or support services role is advantageous.
• Certification as a Surgical Cleaning Technician is preferred.
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience is desirable.

This position operates on a first shift schedule, providing consistent hours in a supportive healthcare environment located in a regional area of the Midwest United States.
