Associate General Counsel

Vallum has an exciting new role for an Associate General Counsel open up in Stamford, CT . The role is a new one due to continued growth and expansion of our Energy client , this is an exciting time to be joining the firm in this In-house role.

Required is a JD admitted lawyer with a minimum of 7 years Litigation experience with particular exposure to complex commercial litigation, through dispositive motions and trial or arbitration.

Managing discovery at scale, including eDiscovery vendors and privilege review, whilst demonstrating sound judgment on settlement value and risk; as well as being comfortable giving clear recommendations to executives is crucial for the role.

You will be working nationally on the Energy/Infrastructure transition, so those with Energy and/or Renewables experience will only be considered.

If you meet the below criteria we would love to speak with you:

• JD with admission preferably in New York and/or Connecticut.
• 7 years minimum Litigation experience.
• Energy/Renewable litigation experience - PPAs, EPC , and IX.
• Insurance experience on both sides of the program: claims management (tenders, coverage disputes, carrier negotiations) and procurement (renewals, policy form review, broker management).
• Prior in-house experience, ideally at a sponsor-owned or project-finance-heavy company.

Salary

$260k to $320 base depending upon experience.
