Meta seeks a highly motivated and experienced team player to serve as an Associate General Counsel, Competition and Regulatory. Working with a talented and supportive team, this position will advise the company on competition issues associated with mergers and acquisitions, product launches, investigations and inquiries, and help develop the company’s legal position and strategy on competition matters throughout the world. Associate General Counsel, Competition & Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Provide the company with counsel and advice on antitrust issues relating to mergers and acquisitions
  • and help develop and execute our legal strategy in connection with the review of mergers and acquisitions by regulators around the world.
  • Advise and counsel the company on competition issues relating to product launches and related business strategies.
  • Represent the company in connection with competition inquiries around the world.
  • Advise the company on global antitrust legislation, merger control updates, and emerging regulatory trends.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement long-term competition strategy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one U.S. state bar
  • 5+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm, government, and/or in-house experience with companies working on antitrust matters
  • Experience representing companies in antitrust inquiries and/or merger reviews
  • Experience developing creative solutions to complex legal issues
  • Flexibility and eagerness to work on legal matters globally
  • Interpersonal skills with a commitment to professionalism and collegiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with global antitrust laws and regulators
  • Experience with internet or technology firms
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

$202,000/year to $274,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
