Associate Quality EngineerNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Associate Quality Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in Palmdale, CA. Telecommute/remote is not an option for this position. This position's standard work schedule is a 4/10 work week, to allow employees every Friday off.Quality Engineer will:Responsible for the implementation of Mission Assurance principles across the program to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory and NG requirementsSupport coordination and implementation of all engineering activities, ensuring all individual IPT plans are sufficient quality, completeness, and detail (technical, cost, schedule)Execute an integrated mission assurance plan for the program along with supporting plans that align with contractual requirements and stakeholder goalsAdvocates and implements continuous improvement opportunities, identifying and executing tasks to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of NG processesInvestigates quality problems, issues, and failures through root cause investigation and corrective action implementationPerforms technical issue assessment, provides technical guidance, and plans for resolutionSupport and provide guidance for all program engineering processes from project inception to project completionBasic Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, systems, aerospace) from an accredited universityUnderstanding of engineering systemsUnderstanding of DoD Mil specs and/or industry standardsAbility to work in a multi-disciplined team environment, to develop solutions for complicated issues both technical and proceduralUnderstanding of root cause analysisAbility to obtain active US DoD secret security clearance and program special accessPreferred Qualifications:Active top-secret security clearance with program accessPrimary Level Salary Range: $69,400.00 - $104,000.00.
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
